We are seeking a full time QA Executive whose primary responsibility will be testing web applications and mobile applications across desktop browsers, Android and iOS platforms. The ideal candidate should have a technical background and experience as a tester working in a fast-paced setting, with tight deadlines and be able to facilitate the discovery, documentation, and communication of site and application issues clearly - from both a user perspective as well as a technical perspective.
Principal Duty
- Testing and quality analysis of web software and apps across desktop browsers, Android, and iOS platforms.
Essential Job Functions
- Conduct functional and browser compatibility tests on site enhancement and maintenance work completed by in-house and offsite development teams.
- Conduct regular regression testing to support frequent releases.
- Review specific web or mobile app pages or functionality as directed.
- Able to test in fast-paced environment with both long and short development cycles.
- Experience working with bug management systems (i.e. JIRA, DevTest/Track, Bugzilla, etc.)
- Document and rank defects in agile project management software so they can be addressed by development teams.
- Update team members on testing status at daily stand-up.
- Work collaboratively with a project manager, team lead and team of developers to ensure the quality of the team’s output.
- Provide knowledge regarding QA concepts, methodology, lifecycle, best practices, tools and metrics.
- Knowledge and experience with a variety of different test strategies and approaches (Exploratory, Ad-hoc, Boundary, Functional, Non-functional, etc.)
- Write, manage, and continuously re-evaluate test plans to adjust for new information and project schedules.
- Assess projects to identify QA requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Automate tests where appropriate (including researching and evaluating testing tools).
- Work with a project manager to draft acceptance scenarios and supporting tests for new projects.
- Monitor defect reporting tool for website issues reported by business units. Clarify issues with business units, reproduce and document identified defects for the development team to address.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and executing software test plans for new applications, application enhancements for client/server based, web-based and mobile-based software
- Develop tests to verify feature, functionality and performance for 3rd-party and in-house developed applications
- Record test results and generate written reports that detail the findings/bugs, etc., and help to diagnose issues discovered during QA testing
- Analyze historical data to categorize and identify root causes of issues and find areas for improvement
- Interact with various departments to solve issues
- Report progress on problem identification and resolution to Project Manager
- Perform process analysis and recommend improvements
- Assist in other various tasks related to the QA and management processes
- Work in a fast paced environment that requires frequent shifts of focus
Education & Experience Requirements
- College Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience testing eCommerce websites, responsive designs and mobile applications.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills.

- Understanding of how websites and mobile applications are developed and function.
- Ability to clearly communicate software issues and behavior to development, product management, operations and marketing.

- At least 2 years’ experience in QA testing websites and/or mobile applications.
